Our Award Winning Solar Flare Project
We built sixteen townhouse units in Kensington that received an honorable mention at the 2015 Mayor's Urban Design Award in the category of sustainability.
We worked hand in hand with the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology to create four different types of solar panel configurations. All four buildings were monitored for both solar panel use and household electricity consumption. Feedback was then given to homeowners as to when they were experiencing energy peaks. This education with the homeowners has been on-going to help them understand and alter their energy use to benefit their lifestyles.
